My photography project for nurseries brings the world of photography directly to your setting. I’m Christopher, a photographer from Bochum, and I explain how pictures are made in a playful, accessible way. Children’s questions, curiosity and views of the world are at the heart of the project.
Discover photography through children’s eyes
How does a camera work? Why does the same subject look different from below? What does light do to a picture? Questions like these are a wonderful starting point for exploring photography together.
This project is for nurseries that would like to give children a creative insight into my profession. It encourages close observation, their own ideas and the joy of discovery. We adapt the content to your children and setting together.
Possible topics for your nursery project
- Get to know the camera: What are its parts, and how is a photograph made?
- Discover light and shadow: Observe together how light changes a subject.
- Change perspective: Look at things close up, from above or from a child’s height.
- Find subjects: Discover colours, shapes and exciting details in everyday nursery life.
- Talk about pictures: Describe what you can see and the stories a photograph can tell.

We discuss the date, duration, group size, materials and costs personally beforehand. We also talk about opportunities for the children to try things themselves.

I visit your nursery and introduce photography to the children in a practical, understandable way. Together with your educational team, we make room for questions, observations and creative ideas.
